This class shows you how to create dynamic textures using Photoshop and Crazybump. You'll learn how to properly create textures from photo reference and hand painted sources. The class assignments are integrated with our 3D modeling courses, so the textures you create here can be used in your other classes.

Learn the tricks and tips the pros use to create visually compelling digital artwork. Digital tools have limitless potential, but harnessing the tools and knowing the relevant techniques is what will allow you to create dynamic illustrations. Learn about custom brushes, photo manipulation as well as core concepts like color, light and layout and what role digital painting plays in the video game production pipeline.

This class focuses on ideation and the design process that goes beyond digital painting. Creating dynamic concept art that can ultimately be turned into 3D assets for real-time interactivity takes a lot of planning and ingenuity. You'll not only learn how to go about organizing ideas into concept art that adheres to predetermined design specifications but also how to convey emotion and evoke a desired response from the viewer. The class also focuses on how concept art fits into the games overall production pipeline.
